The Evergreen Workshop            Passionate about garden buildings

A garden building is a useful, practical and versatile addition to the home and garden. Well made it can be a stylish addition to the garden and will last for years, Our passion is creating your perfect building. We also can restore and repair your existing cherished structures bringing them back to the way they originally started.

About The Evergreen Workshop

The Evergreen Workshop is a small family owned and run business. Passionate about garden buildings we have spent literally thousands of hours in creating, repairing, restoring or just relaxing in these little timber buildings located in the garden.

We originally trained in the construction industry from trade qualifications through to site management level. However the workshop and it's tools proved too strong a calling and so The Evergreen Workshop was born.

Our passion for garden structures was instilled in us from an early age by our grandparents and parents. The garden was a sanctuary where we could play and explore. within the building, whether that be a shed, greenhouse or summerhouse were places where things happened, items were made and repaired, seeds sown and wonderful fruits ripened. Our grandfather was an avid model engineer and as youngsters we were introduced to machines and tools that could make working steam engines or wooden toys. For us this has become a life long love and the garden structure has become a place to develop, explore create and reflect.

Free from the normal rules that surround the main house, Garden structures can be whatever we want them to be. For some it is a tool store, others a workshop, an art room or pottery studio. We have worked on writing rooms, day rooms and changing rooms for swimming pools. childrens spaces where drums can be banged and unique worlds created.

Whatever the use we celebrate the garden building and believe that it shouldn't be an eyesore that needs to be screened and hidden. We want the structure to enhance the space it occupies and be a worthy addition to the garden.

The scope of the work we undertake includes

  • Bespoke new builds of all types including Greenhouses, shed, workshops, Summerhouses, pool houses, gazebos, arbours, barbeque covers and log stores to name but a few

  • Restoration and repair of all makes of timber greenhouses both large and small. Including Alton Cedar Greenhouses, C H Whitehouse Greenhouses and W A Edgells Buildings to name a few.

  • Major repairs and restoration of garden structures including remodelling and structural repairs. This can be anything from a shed to a summerhouse.

  • We can also repair and restore aluminium greenhouses locally. This may include just replacement glazing or repairs to the frame structure.

  • We also get asked to take down and move buildings both within a garden or when the client moves house. This is particularily useful with timber greenhouses which need special care.

  • We also as part of garden building work will undertake landscaping work including ponds, Decking, paths and ramps or just clearing vegetation

With all the work we undertake we offer a 'one stop shop' experience. With the exception of electrical work we undertake all the work ourselves and do not use contractors. It is a complete ground up process including foundations through to finished painting.

We hope that our website highlights the passion we have for what we do. Scroll down the pages to see scores of buildings that we have created or restored, they are a small selection but hopefully show a wide diversity of the work undertaken.

We are always happy to discuss a project and offer a quotation without any obligation or commitment on your part.
